Take In or Take On the 2012 Paris Marathon

The 2012 Marathon de Paris is taking place on April, or make that Avril 15th. It will be the thirty-sixth, and is expected to have a very strong attendance. Therefore, hotels reservations are booking up fast, as are Paris apartments. Even though there are about ninety days left before it, like many of the popular marathons, the tickets for this year’s Marathon de Paris are sold out.

In addition to the marathon itself, there is a free annual running expo which is scheduled for Thursday the 12th, Friday the 13th, and Saturday the 14th of April.  It is, and has been held for the last fourteen years, at The Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre. It is heralded as a platform of exchange for a wide target, that being runners of all kinds. It is meant to be a key occasion organised for those with the common passion of running. So, in a festive atmosphere, joggers, trail runners and triathletes come together to celebrate the sport.

In case you don’t know, this marathon is one of the five biggest in the world, along with Chicago, New York, London, and Berlin. More than a hundered different nations will be participating in this trek from the Champs-Elysees past some of the finest of sights that pepper the twenty six miles.
